6" Walls

6" solid face-mount walls are available in ICE. 6" walls are thicker than their 4" counterparts, allowing them to can better accommodate plumbing, wiring, and other components that must be stored inside the DIRTT wall.

 

Like other DIRTT walls, you can connect the 6" wall to 2" and 4" walls with Junctions and intersections. When you combine 6" solid face-mount walls with 4" walls, you can use any of the available 4" wall styles. The image below shows 4" and 6" walls combined in a layout:

Drawing 6" Walls

You can select a DIRTT wall style from the Product Palette and use draw or continuous draw to add 6" walls to your layout. When you select a DIRTT wall style from the Product Palette, the wall that you draw defaults to 4". However, you can press the / key to toggle between the 4" and 6" wall.

Placing 6" Walls with Edgewall

When you select DXF/DWG lines and use Edgewall to place DIRTT walls, you can toggle between 4" and 6" walls. Edgewall defaults to the 4" wall. However, when you press the / key, you can place 6" walls.

Changing Wall Thickness in the Properties Editor

You can use draw, Center Wall, or Instawall to add a 4" walls in ICE. Once you've added 4" walls, you can open the Properties Editor to change the Wall Thickness to 6".  If you want to change back to a 4" wall, you can change the Wall Thickness property again.
