If you've specified a Grid Ceiling with your Inspire wall, you will need to set the percentage of Centered and Offset ceiling clips to be included with the shipment.

 

Note: The total percentage of ceiling clips cannot be less than 100%.

 

Note: The distance that a tee centerline needs to be offset from a wall centerline to use the centered clips is:

9/16” Tees: Anywhere within 13/16” [20.64mm] of centerline intersection will require Offset Tees.

15/16” Tees: Anywhere within 1” [25.4mm] of centerline intersection will require Offset Tees.

 

Specifying the Percentage of Centered and Offset ceiling clips

1.Refer to the Ceiling Conditions article to change the Ceiling Condition property to Grid Ceiling.

2.Specify the appropriate percentage of clips using the rules below:

 

•If the DIRTT walls are offset from the ceiling grid tees (a preferable scenario), specify 100% centered clips. These clips will not be visible with the ceiling trim.

 

•If the walls are located directly under the ceiling tees (or slightly off center), specify 100% offset clips. These clips will help to align to the tees for aesthetic reasons.

 

•If the walls are at odd angles to the grid, choose a mixed percentage of centered and offset clips. For example, you may choose to order 85% centered and 15% offset if you know the exact details of the alignment.

 

•If you are unsure of the alignment with the tees, order a mixed percentage that will total more than 100%. For example, you could order 90% centered clips and 30% offset to ensure you have adequate coverage.
