Get started on the right foot with the Graphic Editor.
What are we talking about?
Adding images and patterns to Corning Willow Glass tiles has never been easier with the Graphic Editor. There are a few recommendations that make adding images onto tiles even easier.
What's in it for you?
•Enhance presentations
•Better performance in ICE
•Quickly use the Graphic Editor
1. Image Size vs. Resolution
Image size is noted in pixels. Resolution is noted in DPI (dots per inch). Since the Graphic Editor is used for design intent and not printing, there is no need to upload an image greater than 96 DPI. Use a third-party image editing software, like Photoshop, to setup your image resolution before loading it into ICE.
2. Image Proportion
You will have an easier time positioning and scaling your image if you use a horizontal image for a horizontal wall area and a vertical image for a vertical wall area.
3. Recommended Image Size
For the best performance, use images that are a maximum of 1024 px on the longest side. Not sure how to find out your image's dimensions? Right-click on the image in Windows to open Properties, and click on the the Details tab to view Dimensions.
4. Pre-loading Images
If you have multiple images that you want to layout on Willow Glass tiles, load them all into the Custom Library first. Then, go into ICE3D to specify where you want the various images.
5. Seamless Patterns
For Custom Patterns, use seamless patterns that blend perfectly together to yield the best results. Note: ALL of the DIRTT Patterns are already seamless!
6. Variety of Uses
Besides adding images or patters to Willow Glass tiles, you can also use company logos for branding or text for wayfinding. If it can be printed, it can be be put on a Willow Glass tile!
7. Avoid Stealing
Only use images that you have the licensed rights to use.
8. Reveal the Beauty
Willow Glass tiles present beautifully when you use the Reveal mode in 3D.
