1.In the 3D view, select the Layers button or Ctrl+L.

2.Make the Casework Sheet layer slightly more transparent than all other layers.

3.You can look inside all of the cabinets to determine if there is the appropriate number of shelves.

1.Select the space in a unit to split.

2.Select Vertical or Horizontal under the Split section.

NOTE: If the space cannot be split, these functions will be grayed out.

1.Select the space to split.

2.Increase the number in the Number of splits.

3.Select the direction of the split.

4.ICE will automatically create that many splits in the space. These splits will be divided equally in the space.

For example: Notice that we add 2 splits to the space between the shelves on this unit. This created four shelves inside our unit.

1.Select the shelf.

2.Drag the shelf to the desired location.

1.Select the shelf.

2.Select the Properties button in the Casework Editor.

3.In the Offset Value Distance, enter the height to where the split should appear.

NOTE: The Reference Point, Start or Stop, is the top or bottom of the cabinet and the distance being typed in is the center point of the shelf. For example: If you want a 17" height opening in the bottom of the cabinet, you have to calculate 17" + .75" (thickness of bottom panel of cabinet) + .375" (1/2 the thickness of the shelf) and type in 18.125" as the distance to get a 17" clear opening.

Making one or more shelves equally spaced in a cabinet is fairly similar. There are 2 methods:

NOTE: Remember to be in Spaces to adjust shelves.

Method 1 - Best used for centering one shelf.

1.Delete any additional shelves.

2.Select the shelf you want centered.

3.Select the Properties button.

4.Change Offset Reference Control to percentage.

5.Change the Offset Value percent to 50%.

Method 2 - Best used for equally spaced shelves.

1.Delete ALL shelves. (Select the shelf and drag down to delete.)

2.Add 1 or more back in by selecting the space and splitting horizontal.

3.The shelves that come in will default to equal spacing center.
