Recalibration allows you to calibrate the orientation of the digital space to the physical space.
If you want to join an ICEreality Connect experience from the same physical location as another person using another device (i.e. you and a coworker are in the same conference room and wish to join an experience together), you should recalibrate your devices after joining the experience. Recalibrating helps your physical positions in real life match what you are seeing in virtual reality. This stops people running into each other in real life and have the same perspective of the space
Recalibration requires two physical points to be used as reference in the real world.
To begin recalibration:
1.While in an ICEreality experience, tap on the screen to bring up the controls.
2.Tap on the three dots in the top right corner to bring up the menu controls.
3.Tap on Recalibration in the menu controls
4.On screen, a view of your camera will display. An arrow along with a text message will indicate for you to “point the camera downwards.”
5.Point the phone towards the floor, and a crosshair with arrows moving towards it will be displayed on the floor.
6.Align the crosshairs with your first calibration point. When aligned, tap on the screen to confirm your first point.
7.After setting your first point, the crosshairs will remain static on that point and a new blue arrow will appear on screen.
8.Move the blue arrow so the tip is touching the second calibration point. When aligned, tap on the screen to confirm your second point.
9.The 3D elements in ICEreality will reload and will now be aligned to your calibration points.
10.Repeat these steps on any additional devices to create calibration across devices with one another.
11.If all devices are calibrated properly, when the phone is pointed at another participant, youll see there corresponding ICEcream cone.
