The Instablock function grabs 3D objects from AutoCAD and imports them into ICE.
To Instablock:
1.Import a CAP file into a blank ICE drawing using the Import DXF function. The drawing can be either a .dwg or .dxf, and must include CAP 3D symbols.
2.Highlight the entire .dxf, go to Tools and choose Instablock.
3.In the Instablock Wizard window, click Finish. The SIF import option can be done at this time or later (see Step 4).
4.Highlight the plan again, then go to File, then Import, and choose From SIF.
5.Select the .sif file from your computer and click Open, then OK when the SIF import is complete.
Note: Alternately, the SIF can be added when performing the Instablock function (see Step 3). In the Instablock Wizard, check "Use a SIF file to set the options and finishes" and click Browse to find the .sif file. Click Finish to complete the Instablock process.
