Anti-Aliasing

Anti-aliasing is an optical illusion that makes a jagged edge look smooth. It reduces aliasing by shading pixels adjacent to the main pixels that define a line or boundary gray.

You can adjust whether your 3D view favors anti-aliasing (which can reduce flickering) or reflection quality under File > Application Settings... > 3D settings > 3D Performance Settings > Post processing.
