With your architectural levels and gridlines set up, you’re ready to bring your DIRTT layout model into the coordinated file.
1.Ensure you are working on the correct floorplan (Level 1 or Level 2).
2.Click the Insert tab.
3.Select the Link Revit button.
4.Individually link your previously exported ICE to Revit DIRTT models. When linking, the Positioning will not matter. You will move it as necessary to align with the Architectural Base Building.
*You will need to do this for all your ICE to Revit models*.
*Naming may vary*
5.Click Open.
6.Notifications may appear once the model is open. Click Close.
7.Open a Building Elevation view in your Project Browser.
8.The DIRTT elevation will appear. You may have to scroll out to see the elevation. Notice the dashed level line connected to the DIRTT elevation.
9.Click the Modify tab.
10. Click the Align tool.
11. Click the level you want to align (Level 1, Level 2 etc.) in the Architectural model.
12. Click the DIRTT Level. You will notice that your DIRTT Layout model has aligned itself to the Architectural Level.
*You will need to do this for all your ICE to Revit models*
13. Click the Floor Plan View for the Level you just aligned.
14. Review the ICE to Revit DIRTT model(s) location in floor plan view once the model is linked.
15. Click the Modify tab.
16. Click the Align tool.
17. Click on X-axis A (naming may vary) from the Architectural Background model.
18. Click on the X-Axis A (naming may vary) from the DIRTT Layout model. Note: If you cannot see both X-axis lines, the models may already be aligned.
19. Repeat steps 13-18 for the Y-axis.
20. Align Grid Line A and Grid Line 1 using the same Align tool in the Modify tab. The DIRTT model and the Architectural should now be aligned.
21.While still working in the Modify tab, pin the DIRTT model(s) in place using the Pin tool. The models are now pinned in place.
22. Repeat steps 1-21 for each floor level.
